THE SMITH RIVER IS ONE OF THE MOST SOUGHT-AFTER FLOAT PERMITS IN MONTANA. MVP HAS BEEN ON IT SINCE 2019.

FOUR DAYS. CAMP BAKER TO EDEN BRIDGE. YOU ROW, YOU FISH, YOU WORK, YOU TALK AROUND THE FIRE. THE PIG EGG FLOATS WITH YOU — 75 POUNDS OF DOG TAGS ON THE WATER THE ENTIRE WAY.

EVERY CAMP IS SET UP AND BROKEN DOWN AS A TEAM. EVERY MEAL IS COOKED AND EATEN TOGETHER. THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE. THERE IS NO ESCAPE FROM THE PRESENT MOMENT. THAT IS THE POINT.
