A TRADITION WE'VE KEPT QUIET. NOT ANYMORE.
Big Ideas,
Real Impact.
he Montana Vet Program Legacy Sportsman gives veterans and their children mentored hunting and fishing experiences that are built to sharpen human performance, boost physical fitness, and foster self sustainability and tough minded healing. Through:
disciplined outdoor training
conservation stewardship
and skill based mentorship
participants push their limits, rebuild purpose, and forge unshakable resilience, strength, and confidence.
These programs teach practical skills and the values of preparedness, responsibility, and excellence, ensuring the traditions of hunting and fishing, and the warrior ethos they embody, are preserved and passed on to future generations.
THIS ISN'T NEW.
WE JUST DIDN'T TALK ABOUT IT.
For years, Montana Vet Program has taken veterans and their children out on shoulder season elk hunts, no promotion, no fanfare, just veterans passing something real down to their kids. That's the foundation Sportsman is built on. We're just done keeping it to ourselves.
What's Growing
Sportsman is growing beyond the annual elk hunt into a full slate of hunting opportunities for veterans and their children.

WHY DO WE DO THIS?
You can tell a kid you're strong. It means more when they watch you do it. These hunts give veterans a chance to lead their own children the way they once led their unit, and give kids a memory with their veteran that no classroom or living room can replicate. For a Gold Star child like Wyatt, it's a chance to stand beside someone who carries the same weight his father did, and know he's not carrying it alone.
LOOKING AHEAD
Sportsman has grown carefully and quietly for years. That's changing. Expect more hunts, a fishing program on the way, and a program built to match the same standard as everything else Montana Vet Program runs.
